Let's talk trades

Trust the process guys. Trust it. Nights like these are for thinking about what our future will be like instead of being overwhelmed by how unbearable it is to watch games right now. So instead as we think of the future, we think of what makes us all so happy and excited. Trade season.

First candidate on the block may be someone who has not even been with us enough to even get a total feel for. Yes I am talking about Mr. Ilyasova. While being our best shooter and actually being one of the players on the team that makes us look halfway like a basketball team, he could also be in the way down the road. If a Ben Simmons debut is anywhere in the future before the trade deadline, our new friend may become a decent trade asset. As Ben comes back he will take some of either Saric or Ilyasova's minutes. However with saric being in our long term plans I would much rather see him get minutes than ilyasova. The way ilyasova has played so far though and with the way the league has a big demand for stretch fours right now, what does ilyasova's worth become around the trade deadline to a team in need of a scorer off the bench or just a stretch four in general? As the sixers give him more time he proves to still be capable of putting up good numbers against just about anyone and seems to be one of the most consistent players on the team. Granted he is just a half year rental at that point but does he still have worth to some team in the playoff hunt? The good thing about how we use him right now is that he is not a big enough difference to necessarily win or lose us games but he is noticeable enough and gets enough time on our team to showcase his ability to a possible suitor come trade deadline time. Could Cooamgelo pull a fast one and gain another asset for basically a throw in player while clearing out the glut of big men even more?
