What's our loss is the Atlanta Hawks' gain. Malik Rose is joining the Hawks' front office in a basketball operations role as first reported by Chris Vivlamore, Hawks beat writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Hawks have hired Malik Rose to a front-office position.

Rose previously declined to take a position on the University of Alabama's coaching staff this summer, instead waiting for an opportunity to get an NBA front office job. There's been some discussion privately that Rose had been wanting an NBA front office job for a while. With Atlanta he gets that opportunity, an organization with ex-Spurs staff in almost every significant position. It's about an ideal situation for him.
Congrats to Malik for getting the job he wanted! Malik Rose, along with Marc Zumoff and Molly Sullivan, made watching a horrid basketball team on a near-nightly basis a fun thing to do. We wish him all the best with the Hawks.
