Nik Stauskas Will Not Play In Las Vegas Summer League

In the quickest conversation ever had between reporter and player (Guinness confirmed it), Nik Stauskas says he will not be playing in Las Vegas Summer League.

Stauskas is largely considered the biggest currently tangible prize to come out of the Carl Landry and Jason Thompson salary, which was completed on July 10th. In his rookie season, he averaged 4.4 points a game on 36.5% shooting from the floor, and 32.2% from beyond the arc.

Stauskas didn't give a reason as to why he isn't playing, but his health could be a bit of an issue. The 21-year-old is still recovering from an ankle injury, and Keith Pompey reported the other day the team could opt to keep him out if he's not fully healthy.

Also, he's going to make the roster no matter what, and the team might actually wanna give more minutes to some fringe players instead of somebody who's a lock.

You'll have to wait until September to see Sauce cook in a Sixers uniform.
