Liberty Ballers is expanding, now attempting to conquer the sports talk radio world after establishing dominance in the blog game, as our own Derek Bodner and Jake Pavorsky have made appearances on 94.1 WIP over the last two days while talking about the 76ers' potential moves for the NBA draft.
Derek joined Josh Innes and Tony Bruno last night to discuss D'Angelo Russell and a few other prospects that could intrigue the Sixers:
I do think [Russell] is a potential All-Star-type player... I think Russell's pick-and-roll passing and his ability to shoot could really open things for [Joel Embiid]... I do think Russell is probably the second-best prospect in this draft, I do have him rated up there, so I do think he's worth being the pick and I do think he has a very strong chance of being that pick.
Jake hopped on with Michael Barkann and Ike Reese earlier today, going over draft day rumors and their effect on their Sixers' decision with the third pick:
I would say the odds are right now that 60% they'll take Russell and 40% they'll take [Kristraps] Porzingis, but I really think the Sacramento trade with the Lakers possibly involving DeMarcus Cousins could really throw the Sixers in a loop... If D'Angelo Russell is there on the board at three, I'd like to think the Sixers take him and I would say that they'd take him, but until Adam Silver calls his name with the Sixers pick at three, I think it's a toss-up and won't be convinced until I hear it.
Jake and Derek, along with our own Jake Fischer, will be in attendance for the draft tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Stay tuned to Liberty Ballers and our Draft Hub throughout the day to keep tabs on Sixers rumors and news.
