Just when you thought the NBA trade deadline was finished, the Sixers and Sam Hinkie took it up a notch. Franchise point guard Michael Carter-Williams is reportedly on his way out the door, with Isaiah Thomas and picks coming back in return.
Marc Stein was the first to report:
ESPN sources: Brandon Knight to Phoenix. MCW and Tyler Ennis to Milwaukee. Isaiah Thomas and picks to Philadelphia

Major picks are reportedly coming back to the 76ers:
Sixers are getting the Lakers pick owed to the Suns (protected 1-5 this year) as part of MCW deal with Bucks/Suns

Conflicting reports are coming in from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, who claims that Thomas is headed to the Boston Celtics. This would seemingly axe the Sixers involvement in the deal.
Based on what we know, the whispers of Philadelphia's waning interest in Carter-Williams as a long-term piece may be coming to fruition. More to come on this deal and other Sixers transactions as they come to light.
UPDATE:
The Sixers will in fact be involved, but they will not be taking back Thomas in the deal, per Stein.
It essentially works like a four-way deal with Celtics joining in to take on Isaiah Thomas and Philly stocking up future first-rounders
