Keeping the trade value high

Something I don't see discussed much is the importance of the Sixer's keeping the trade value high on their key big men. More specifically since its pretty much known that the team must eventually trade at least one of Noel, Okafor, Embiid not to even mention Saric they should be taking steps to keep the trade value up on the guy(s) they intend to make available.

Maybe they don't know yet who they want to keep, that's fair I guess since Embiid and Saric haven't played yet but its already clear that they don't likely keep both Okafor and Noel.

Don't they have to start positioning for trades? Looks to me like the Colangelo move also signals Philly will be active in the trade market if not this trade deadline then for sure afterwards and onwards.

My move would be to start getting Noel back to Center. His value looks higher there. He shines as a defender from the 5 and Sixer guards should learn to keep him as a constant lob threat.

Okafor I'd keep. He's got a better chance of being able to move between 4 & 5 so he could play with Embiid or Saric in rotations. That's not to say Noel wouldn't be good potentially with Saric but Sixer's will have to give up someone good to get something good back. Noel looked very good last year but with him at the 4 his perceived value seems to be dropping.

So if Okafor doesn't look so good at the 4 for a while, it's ok. You plan to keep him anyway, give him time to work on his perimeter game.

Don't really see Noel going well with Embiid because it move Embiid out to 4 potentially. Not best defensively or for his health prospects IMO.

Okafor also has more draft contract years and at 19 with a championship college pedigree just looks like the 1st piece a team could literally build around rather a great complimentary piece.

Embiid I don't think you can trade without 1st seeing him unless they wanted to risk a MASSIVE EPIC FAIL if he were to be traded and then have a relatively healthy career somewhere else while coming anywhere close to his talent potential somewhere else. That's just 2 risky.

Saric, they've waited too long for him to trade him either before seeing him play in the NBA I think.

They've already traded MCW, big move, jury is out but right now it looks pretty good. MCW isn't looking like the PG of the future for a team like Sixers although he has his best chance to succeed with Kidd in Milwaukee. I think the Sixer's would much rather go forward with a Jamaal Murray or a Kris Dunn type player that could be 2 way.

Point is the Sixer's boosted MCW's trade value very nicely. ROY! Landed a potential difference making draft pick.

Now they need to think about what they're doing with Okafor and Noel. I'd thinking Noel's the guy in particular that need to take better care of his trade value NOW.
