Sixers Season Preview on the Rights To Ricky Sanchez Podcast

Days away!

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

The Sixers start their 82-game march to owning the 2016 Draft in a few days, so it's time for the barely anticipated season preview on Nik Stauskas's own Rights To Ricky Sanchez podcast. For a team with 37 wins in the last two years, the Sixers have been barraged with newsworthy items, and that includes the smear campaign launched against them by a critic of hoops and Shirley Temple denier. We discuss. Oh, we discuss.

With Sixers roster cuts imminent, Spike and I get into the T.J. McConnell/Scottie Wilbekin/Furkan Aldemir/Christian Wood of it all, and I give a long-winded answer about my ambivalence regarding the Carl Landry roster spot. Also tons of season predictions and a piss-drenched Jigsaw.

And a brief moment of silence for the knee of Robert Covington. If he's out for a while, we're boned, even just from a fun standpoint. But considering all the injuries, I'd really expect them to go after the hardship exception for a 16th roster spot. As every NBA team makes their cuts, the well of decent candidates grows. I'm already making eyes at a few guys that we'll talk about in the coming days.

Listen to the Stauskas interview here if you haven't already, and here's all the info for the very affordable RTRS bus trip to Brooklyn which is filling up fast. Oh and I guested on a Lakers podcast as a gesture of goodwill so they would give us the best possible pick come June.

And a reminder that donations are made to two lovely charities -- RAINN to support victims of sexual assault and the Alzheimer's Association of the Delaware Valley -- from Friend/Friend's Dad Of The Podcast, LL Pavorsky Jewelers. This week's Ricky below!
