A Thing

Hello! An update of sorts. This has been a long time coming, but now it's official -- Sean O'Connor and Jake Pavorsky are taking over as co-heads of Liberty Ballers. I've graduated myself to Blogger Emeritus slash Senior Overseer slash Drunk Uncle slash Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot.

But I'm not going away. Like Gangrel of his The Brood days, Liberty Ballers blood runs too deep in my veins. Like Arwen, my fate is tied to the fate of this blog. Like farts, I accidentally come out as poop sometimes.

So I'm not gonna make a big deal out of this and say goodbyes or whatever. I'll still tweet loudly and do the podcast and write here a not insignificant amount. You never know when Mikki Moore will get a training camp invite and my inner blogging alarm sounds.

Basically, I've spent a good portion of my life over the last 5+ years writing about a team I've abjectly hated, then suddenly adored and stubbornly defended. Back when it was just Jordan, Tanner, Derek, and me, we had to claw for people to pay attention to us. Now we've got a 15-person staff and we're one of the biggest NBA team blogs out there. I'm so goddamn proud of this thing, you can't even imagine. I read every single comment for over 5 years. This blog -- which is so much more than just basketball -- matters to me.

I knew as my real life career would occupy more of my time that I'd have to build up some guys to take over, and Sean and Jake and the rest of the kids here are the real deal. Blogging's a young man's game. We're all in capable hands. Our farm system is flourishing. LB is bigger than any one of us.

This isn't goodbye. I just didn't want to fade into the night without tucking y'all in first. It's gonna be great. Team Chill.
