Orlando Summer League: Sixers vs. Nets Game Thread

Philadelphia finds themselves just two points out of first in the standings.

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Sixers are scheduled to take on the Brooklyn Nets tonight at 5 P.M., one day after trouncing the Houston Rockets 92-71.

Casper (the friendly point guard) Ware led all scorers for the Sixers with 16 points on 5-14 shooting, and was a whopping +25. He's had a strong summer league campaign thus far, and with the unfortunate injury to Pierre Jackson, the former Long Beach State guard may be earning a reserve spot on this team.

Another player with a great showing in Orlando is un-drafted free agent Ronald Roberts Jr. of St. Joe's, who contributed nine points and four rebounds. He's played very well alongside 2013 first round pick Nerlens Noel.

After an extremely impressive debut, Noel followed it up with a performance more indicative of what his rookie season will likely look like. He finished the game with eight points, six rebounds, three blocks, and two steals.

It's yet to be confirmed as to whether he'll play again today, but all signs point to him suiting up once again.

If he does end up playing, Noel vs. Mason Plumlee will certainly be a matchup to watch.
