As Matt Carey told you yesterday, saying goodbye is super hard. Tonight, the Sixers officially say adios to Andrew Wiggins, as Philadelphia is set to take on the Cavaliers in Vegas summer league action. Tip off is at 5 P.M., and can be found on NBATV.
Word from Sixers beat Bob Cooney is that both Nerlens Noel (rest) and K.J. McDaniels (sprained ankle) are expected to play tonight. Point guard Casper Ware's availability is unknown, but after resting yesterday I'd imagine he would be a full go tonight. McDaniels, Noel, and Ware will be joined by shooting guard Sean Kilpatrick, who lit it up for the Sixers in his Vegas debut. He scored 20 points on 7-13 shooting, tied with Jordan McRae for the team's leading scorer.
And while most Sixers fans eyes will be fixated on the specimen that is Wiggins, make sure to divert some attention to Anthony Bennett. The former number one pick has been putting on an absolute show for Cleveland. Through two games he's averaged 14 points and 10.5 rebounds, and looks really, really fit. Word is he dropped 25 pounds over the course of the offseason, and it certainly shows.
Bennett versus Noel is definitely a matchup to watch for.
