NBA Draft 2014 Live Blog: Sixers Trades, Picks, Rumors, and More

The 2014 NBA Draft is finally here.

I feel like I've been waiting forever to say those words. It's hard to believe it's only been a little over a month since the NBA Draft Lottery because it's felt way longer than that.

It goes without saying that this is a HUGE, ALL CAPS, BOLD kind of night. The future of the Philadelphia 76ers franchise greatly depends on the outcome of tonight's draft. Tonight is all about the Sixers building a core nucleus that will one day elevate the team up from the bottom of the league into a legitimate NBA championship contender. No pressure, Sam Hinkie.

Seriousness aside, it's going to be a really fun night. Remember back to last year when everyone thought the Sixers were going to sit tight (or possibly even trade down) and make a pick of someone like Steven Adams or Sergey Karasev at 11? Well then HINKIE happened and Jrue Holiday was sent to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Nerlens Noel and what turned out to be the No. 10 pick this year. If there's a lesson to be learned here, it's definitely to expect the unexpected. Cliche and corny, sure, but true.

There's even more reason to believe the Sixers will be active again in this draft. They enter tonight with a total of seven selections, including a WHOPPING five choices in the second round. Let's recap the picks: 3, 10, 32, 39, 47, 52, 54.

It's going to be a really FREAKING fun night. Liberty Ballers will have complete coverage of all the rumors, trades, picks, etc. so definitely stay tuned to the site for all of that good stuff. Don't change that channel, folks. We couldn't be happier to spend the night with all of you here together. Or something like that!
