2014 LB Community NBA Draft Big Board #17: Elfrid Payton vs. Kyle Anderson

No, we're not talking about Gary and Kenny, either.

Ronald Martinez

The Liberty Ballers community couldn't conclusively decide which of Elfrid Payton and Kyle Anderson they preferred. When I first looked at the vote to write this post, Payton led Anderson by one vote and, by the powers of the polls, the internet, and automatically calculated (and rounded!) percentages, no real difference existed.

Flash forward to the closing of the poll, Payton shoots ahead of Anderson by a few votes. But before the post closed, we had already decided to re-vote including just those two. It's too close.

Of those two, I'm clearly a Kyle Anderson stan. Anderson, despite moving in slow motion at all times, is probably the most aesthetically pleasing player to watch in draft. Heck, he's probably more of a point guard than Elfrid Payton. But Payton brings the size and athleticism that you want out of a point guard, and does not move in slow motion. He's a worthy pick in the middle of the first round, and some people think he'll go higher than that.

Vote for one or the other below, and they'll fall in at the next two slots depending on the results.

1. Andrew Wiggins (55%)
2. Joel Embiid (66%)
3. Jabari Parker (76%)
4. Dante Exum (69%)
5. Noah Vonleh (48%)
6. Julius Randle (52%)
7. Aaron Gordon (62%)
8. Marcus Smart (67%)
9. Dario Saric (44%)
10. Nik Stauskas (45%)
11. Gary Harris (31%)
12. Doug McDermott (32%)
13. Zach LaVine (36%)
14. James Young (37%)
15. Adreian Payne (40%)
