Man, those few days where Evan Turner was going to be the savior for the Indiana Pacers sure were fun, huh? They soured on him right quick and limped into the playoffs like they were big blind with nine-deuce off-suit. Roy Hibbert made eyes at him while he was talking about a few selfish teammates, and prior to their win over the mighty Atlanta Hawks last night, there were some fisticuffs between ET and Lance Stephenson, a pleasant gentleman in his own right.
[Luis Scola and David West] finally dragged a cursing, cut Evan Turner out of the Bankers Life Fieldhouse court, untangling him from a practice-floor fistfight with teammate Lance Stephenson.
Go figs.
And how much does this sound like Evan from when Doug was coach?
"I'm just trying to make the right plays here," Turner told Yahoo Sports. "Some nights I get two shots, some nights I get 10 or 12. I'm trying to get acclimated."
A few great takes from the LB community on the fight between The Villain and Lance, who will assuredly be overpaid in disastrous fashion this offseason.
Lance has some maturity issues, but I'd also be frustrated if I was doing well running the second unit and then was force-fed Evan Turner.

From our pal TK in the comments: "Stephenson's been beating up on Evan since Summer League 2010." Burn.
And the indefatigable Dweebowitz from his own fancy new blog: "I love Lance Stephenson for publicly expressing the immense frustration felt by everyone who has ever watched Evan Turner play basketball and hoped for his success. Thanks, Lance. You kicked his ass for me, too."
I can't quit you, Evan. As of this writing, the second round pick received in the Turner trade has yet to get into a fight with anybody.
Very unrelated, does anybody else remember the LWHAI: Lou Williams Hate Advisory Index? God, we've come a long way.
