After the streaking Atlanta Hawks edged the Raptors in overtime on the backs of Shelvin Mack and Cartier Martin, the book was closed on the Sixers 2014 season.
Sixers officially eliminated from the playoffs.

The dream is dead. NBA fans will be cruelly denied Sixers basketball in May and June. At 15-52 and losers of a mere 21 straight games, the Philadelphia 76ers hung on as long as they could. Sometimes it's not meant to be.
To the brave men and women who bought tickets to the Championship Parade on Broad Street, I'm deeply sorry. I wish there was something I could say to make it better. We believe in this team, that's what's important. They'll regroup and bounce back next season and surely stick around in the playoff race until April.
No question this Sixers core will stick around in 2014-15 to avenge this slight on their collective reputation. For now, put the foam fingers in the basement for another day. "Why do we fall, Bruce?"
