"Sixers Overseas" is your weekly update on 76ers prospects who are spanning the globe, from Turkey to Australia and everywhere in between.
Dario Saric: After being crowned Euroleague MVP for the month of November, Saric returned to action with Anadolu Efes for two games within a week of each other. The 20-year-old was scorching hot in last Friday's victory over Dinamo Banco Di Sardegna Sassari (I love European basketball so much). He led all players in scoring with 18 points on 6-10 shooting, and pulled down 11 rebounds, earning him a game-high Performance Index Rating of 28. You can peep some highlights from the game here. The club returned to domestic action on Sunday, where Saric notched 8 points and 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in a 81-66 victory over Usak. Efes posted another Euroleague victory Thursday over Zalgiris Kaunas, but it was certainly a game Saric would hope to soon forget He scored just 4 points on 2-10 shooting. Off games happen for players his age, but its nice to know those are mostly few and far between. His numbers on the year are still solid; through 12 contests he's averaging 12.3 points per game on 51.9% shooting from the floor, as well as 6.8 rebounds per game.
Jordan McRae: Melbourne United is on a ten-day break, so no new on court news on the Sixers second rounder. McRae returned stateside to celebrate the birth of his newborn son, but Melbourne United hopes to have him return for their game on Sunday. He still leads the NBL in scoring with 22.3 points per game.
Arsalan Kazemi: Since returning to China, Kazemi has been on an absolute rampage. In last Friday's 122-86 loss to Stephon Marbury and the Beijing Ducks, Kazemi scored 20 points on 8-12 shooting and pulled down 17 rebounds. Chongqing was back in action on Sunday against the Jilin Northeast Tigers, where the 2013 second round pick notched another double-double, scoring 16 points to go with 17 rebounds. Chongqing finally won its third game on Wednesday, large in part to Kazemi's 13 points (5-7 FG) and 15 rebounds. According to asia-basket.com, Kazemi is averaging 14.9 points and 15.1 rebounds per game.
Vasilije Micic: Micic was diagnosed with a rupture of the collateral ligament in his right elbow, and will reportedly miss six weeks of action.
