27 Days Until Sixers: Luc Mbah a Moute Needs to Meet Will Smith

The Fresh Prince meeting the Fresh Prince needs to happen, right?

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Remember how Will Smith is a minority owner of the 76ers? As recently as a couple of years ago, Will Smith would show up with his family (Including Jaden, His Son, I Think) in the middle of the second quarter of Sixers home games, get a louder ovation than most players, take his courtside seats, listen while his own music (and only that!) would blare throughout the arena, and leave in like the third quarter or so.

Now that the team is rebuilding and is less caught up in confetti and appearances, Will is resting comfortably on his throne in Bel-Air, or so I've been led to believe. He doesn't make many movies nowadays. But he may want to make a return to Philadelphia, because Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is the new prince in town.

Nicknamed "The Fresh Prince of Westwood" while in college at UCLA, LRMAM (as he's to be abbreviated as henceforth) is a prince in Cameroon as he is the son of a village leader. It's not quite the British throne, but it's enough to make him supreme royalty in these parts, even though Philadelphia has a particular historical aversion to royalty.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that these two have to meet at some point, right? The Sixers need to make this happen. It's too good of an opportunity to pass up. But they'll have to do a few things first.

One, someone from the Sixers needs to remind Will Smith that he owns part of the team. He's publicly distanced himself enough that he probably forgot about owning part of them. Two, that person will need to convince Will to come back to Philadelphia, or at the very lease ambush him when he's in town for other reasons. Three, that person will have to inform him that he's going to meet a Cameroonian prince who plays for the Sixers. Additionally, this person will have to convince Will that he or she is not lying.

Four, once they do meet and all goes well, Joel Embiid also has to be introduced to Will Smith, because that's the right thing to do. Finally, a picture needs to be taken with Will Smith, LRMAM, and Embiid (trademark pic with no smile still applying) and post it to the official website for posterity.

So that's it? Can you make it happen, Sixers? Don't disappoint me.
