There seems to be a contingent of Sixers fans horribly upset by the fact that the Sixers didn't wind up with the first or second pick in the 2014 NBA Draft Lottery. That 3 and 10 is a poor consolation price for the 2013-14 season. I don't know what to tell you guys other than what we've been saying all year-- Chill.
The Sixers had the best chance at the 4th pick, and they got the 3rd. They had a non-zero chance of losing the 10th pick until next year's weaker class, and they got it. You're mad about the Cavaliers jumping? Why? The Cavs? They're a mess. Someone was gonna get that top pick and it 80% wasn't gonna be the Sixers. I'm elated that it's the Cavs and the Bucks ahead of them and not Boston or LA.

The NBA rigged the Lottery so the Cavs and Bucks can profit from it? The Cavs are The Last Team they would've wanted to have the top pick. The Lottery is not rigged for the Cavs, guys. Come on, stop it. And even if for some reason it was, then great! Thank you NBA Riggers for the 3rd and 10th picks in the draft and letting small market teams like Cleveland and Milwaukee end up on top.
Fact is, the Sixers have an unfair amount of options at the top of this draft. Odds are 100% that they will be able to choose from at least two of Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embiid, Jabari Parker, and Dante Exum. You like some of those guys, you dislike some of them, I like all of them. Sam Hinkie will have his pick of two. Wiggins is not out of the question with Cleveland (Embiid?) and Milwaukee (Jabari?) as ideal options ahead of them.
We made the commercial break. Dr. J got to stare daggers into the camera and look sultry and get our hopes up. Would 1 or 2 have been better? Of course. But I needed that commercial break, and Lucy got us that commercial break.
From the roster he inherited to MCW, Nerlens, 3rd pick, and 10th pick in a calendar year. Sam Hinkie has done an excellent job.

We'll be talking about all their multitude of options in the month up until the draft, as well as all the things they can do with Thaddeus Young and trading up or down and all 934 of those second round picks.
But give it a second to breathe. This is all great news. We're in a wonderful position to pull a star and at least one very good starter from this draft to pair with the Rookie of the Year and the Rookie of Next Year. Don't shout about rigging or how they're screwed if they don't get this guy or the other guy. Have a Malibu Bay Breeze, put your feet up, and chill. We good.
