Sam Hinkie's first draft (or first anything, really) as the Sixers General Manager is going swimmingly. He is dominating the draft, and that's before he's about to buy a late first and take another high upside contributor. Thus far, they've ended up with the injured, slipping Nerlens Noel and the analytics-friendly Michael Carter-Williams, not to mention a minimally protected first round pick in next year's loaded draft.
What could be better? How about some sunshine and butterflies?
Carter-Williams also revealed that when he and Nerlens Noel take the court for the Sixers this upcoming season, it’ll be a reunion of sorts for the pair.
"Me and Nerlens grew up together. We’re best friends We plated on the same AAU team together in high school. It’s like a dream come true. We always talked about how we were both going to make it to the NBA. For us to make it on the same team is a blessing."
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I will now be dreaming about pushing the tempo, running tons of fast breaks, and watching MCW throw dynamic alley-oops to his flat-topped BFFAEAEAEAE Nerlens Noel.
This is the Sam Hinkie era. Calculators. Tanking. Best friends.
