Final Score: Sixers defeat Wizards, 97-86 - Immediate Reaction Thread

Yay, I guess.

USA TODAY Sports

Celebrate. The Sixers have won yet another game of meaningless basketball.

The Wizards started out strong and were leading by as much as 13 at one point. The Sixers cut the lead to 1 by the end of the first half. The highlight of the first two quarters was when John Wall blocked Damien Wilkins on a breakaway dunk attempt. Exciting, I know.

Second half action featured both teams flirting on the seesaw (just like back in grade school) until the Sixers got hot and started to break away. The Sixers entered the 4th quarter up 9 and never lost the lead. Fans of tanking cried.

The Sixers were led by Jrue Holiday (22 points, 6 assists) and Thaddeus Young (16 pts, 12 rebs). Evan Turner had 7 assists and 4 rebounds but managed to shoot a horrible 0-11 for 0 points.

The Wizards were paced by John Wall who had 21 points and 7 assists.
