This one was never really in doubt. The New Orleans Pelicans ended the first quarter with a 34-22 lead and cruised to an easy 135-98 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Sixers were sluggish from the opening tip, and it didn't take long before they were down by 30 midway through the second quarter. Tony Wroten led the Sixers with 18 points, while Spencer chipped in with 14 points and four boards. Evan Turner, meanwhile, was just 2-for-11 from the field, and ended the night with just four points, six rebounds and two assists.
Former Sixer Jrue Holiday finished with 14 points, 12 assists and six rebounds, but the most impressive player on the floor Saturday for either team was Pelicans' forward Ryan Anderson. In his first game this year since breaking his toe late last month, Anderson scored 26 points in 26 minutes (#efficiency). Oh, by the way, Anthony Davis had 13 points, nine rebounds and a career-high eight blocks.
The Sixers - who are now 5-6 on the season - close out their road trip with a date against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
Let's never speak of this one again.
