76ers vs. Pelicans Game Thread: Basketball Mardi Gras

No matter how tonight's game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Orleans Hornets turns out, the Sixers will probably both improve and worsen their position in the 2014 NBA Draft. So let's just hope for an exciting matchup, shall we?

Odds and Ends:

The Other Side Of The Game: The crew over at The Bird Writes will give you the breakdown from NOLA.

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do: We've moved on from Jrue Holiday, but Jrue hasn't moved on from us...

Food Paradise: It's really hard to have a bad meal in New Orleans (just ask Kwame Brown). Cochon Butcher and Acme Oyster House are musts if you visit, but you can do well just about anywhere.

Family Reunion: Pelicans' head coach Monty Williams appeared in 21 games for the 76ers back in 2002-03. And we all remember New Orleans' assistant coach Randy Ayers: He led the Blackshirts to a sparkling 21-31 record back in 2003-04.

It's The Little Things: The first H&M in Louisiana opened up in New Orleans today. Thousands of people lined up overnight, and a second line parade broke out.
