Hopefully, the Sixers can get all of their winning out of the way during the preseason: A victory over the Brooklyn Nets tonight would lift Brett Brown and his charges to a 3-1 record.
Don't read too much into tonight's matchup, however: Deron Williams, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko will all sit out due to various injuries, and the 76ers will be sans the great Kwame Brown due to a stubborn right hamstring. There are a few things to keep an eye on, though:
Game 2 of the Royce White Era: White played a hair under 10 minutes in his first NBA game last week, and scored five points, grabbed three rebounds... and racked up five fouls. We still have no idea whether White will be an integral part of the team this year, but it'll be nice to see how fast he can get his legs under him.
Which Evan Turner will show up tonight? Turner averaged 11 free-throw attempts in the Sixers' first two preseason games, but just two in the team's 97-85 win against Boston on Friday. Will the more aggressive "Villain" show up tonight?
The Battle of the Bigs: In Kevin Garnett and Brook Lopez, the Nets have a pair of more-than-capable bigs. The Sixers? Not so much. But to be fair, Spencer Hawes and Thaddeus Young are averaging a combined 26.6 points and 12.6 rebounds per game so far during the exhibition season, so there's that.
MCW: Michael Carter-Williams' 16-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio won't last, but he should be able to hold his own tonight against Shaun Livingston.
Tonight's game is on CSN Philly. Together we build... those of us who can watch, anyway.
