That was probably the most entertaining game of the whole season. The Sixers lost a heartbreaker to the Grizzlies by a final of 103-100, and I'm really not upset about it. Would've been great to get the win, but we saw so many terrific things from that game that should not be discounted because they lost the game.
The Sixers did give up a thousand points in the 2nd quarter and the defense was consistently disgusting, but I'm still feeling good about this from the top down.
Jerryd Bayless is fantastic. I love him. Rudy Gay hit a really tough shot. Marc Gasol was absolutely bonkers, ending with a monster block of a Nick Young game-tying three at the buzzer. Sometimes, that happens.
We'll talk more about it later, but majorly big ups go to Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner for some spectacular performances. I can't get on Thad for missing that shot at the end. Sometimes it doesn't fall. Good on Doug for drawing up a decent look.
I don't believe in moral victories, but I do believe in entertaining games. This was one of those. And that's nice.
