Man, if it was 2005, we'd be swimming in it. First Josh Howard comes in for a workout -- a former All-Star and current elderly malcontent -- and now the Sixers bring in former Milwaukee Bucks person and journeyman Dan Gadzuric for a workout and a potential training camp invite. Dan spent the better part of his age 33 season on his couch until the Knicks picked him up to play two scoreless games of basketball. They won both!
Dan is no longer a player that can be on the court for longer than 4-5 minutes at a time, but in short stints, he at least provides some semblance of defense and defensive rebounding ability. Here's what Posting and Toasting's Seth Rosenthal said about him last year when the Knicks signed the Dutchman.
Gadzuric is an okay player-- he's tall and makes some funny faces
Thanks Seth!
The Sixers already have a ton of bigs, so I don't really see how he could get minutes. Andrew Bynum, Spencer Hawes, Kwame Brown, Lavoy Allen, and Arnett Moultrie will all play at least a little at the 5. I have no idea where Gadzuric would fit into this plan.
Add him to the Dong/Primoz/Frozone Team of Large Oddballs.
