Lou Williams Not Coming Back to Sixers

Boss.
Boss.

The Nick Young signing from this morning meant that it was less likely the Sixers would want to spend a lot of money on Louis Williams to do essentially the same thing. But there was still a glimmer of hope that Sixers stalwart BOSS would remain in Philadelphia somehow. Not anymore. The NBA Free Agency train rolls funkily on.

Lou has tweeted the following this morning:

Philly, I appreciate you all. Unfortunately I will not be coming back, as an organization they decided to move in a different direction.

As you guys probably know, I'm thrilled. Absolutely thrilled. They already had millions tied up in a bench player in Thaddeus Young and giving Lou so many more millions to hamstring the offense and play no defense would have been disastrous. So they will not be giving him more money. I'm kind of stunned. He's been here for 7 years. Wow.

This *could* mean they are going to send a lot of money directly into the bank account of Kris Humphries or Ersan Iyasova or Ryan Anderson. Hopefully not, but the way this offseason is turning out, you never know.

More on everything throughout the day. Too many things are happening, I'm not even able to develop a cogent thought anymore. NO MORE BOSS. Oh and LB can remain a Sixers blog. Sorry for all the women's rights activists hoping we'd blog exclusively about that.
