According to Josh Robbins, who covers the Orlando Magic for the Orlando Sentinel, Sixers assistant coach Michael Curry is among the three finalists for their open head coaching position.
The 3 finalists for the #Orlando #Magic coaching job indeed are Michael Curry, Lindsey Hunter & Jacque Vaughn.

Curry is currently the associate head coach for Doug Collins, who has been given a lot of credit by Collins for the Sixers excellent defensive play over the last two seasons since Curry and Collins took over the Sixers. The Sixers were 3rd in the league in defensive rating and 3rd in defensive eFG% this past year, with their defense being a big reason for their relative success.
Curry has had one head coaching stint, during the 2008-2009 season after Flip Saunders was fired the previous year. He went 39-43, being fired one year into a 3 year deal worth approximately $7.5 million overall.
Curry played 11 years in the NBA, from 1993-1994 through the 2004-2005 season, mostly in a reserve role. He played for Philadelphia, Washington, Detroit, Milwaukee, Toronto, and Indiana during his career.
