At the halfway mark, it's time to check in on how likely the people in Vegas (not Jordan) believe the Sixers could sneak into the NBA Championship discussion. No surprise, they're up since prior to the season, but there are a few eye-catching mistakes, one of which is in the name of JEREMY LIN AS AN MVP CANDIDATE. Read below as I try to catch my breath.

Odds to win 2012 NBA Eastern Conference Championship

New York Knicks 9/1 -
Philadelphia 76ers 12/1 -

I still take issue being behind the Knicks but I'd be in the minority at this point, I suppose. And here are the spit-take worthy MVP odds.
LeBron James (MIA) 1/2 -
Kobe Bryant (LAL) 9/2
Kevin Durant (OKC) 6/1
Chris Paul (LAC) 9/1
Derrick Rose (CHI) 15/1
Dwyane Wade (MIA) 20/1 -
Dwight Howard (ORL) 20/1 -
Jeremy Lin (NYK) 25/1 -
Blake Griffin (LAC) 30/1 -
Kevin Love (MIN) 30/1 -
Tony Parker (SA) 30/1 -
Dirk Nowitzki (DAL) 40/1 -
If anyone bets on Jeremy Lin, show yourself and prepare for some serious tongue lashings. At least Carmelo isn't on there. What do you guys think about the Sixers place on the odds scale, as well as the distinct lack of a Sixer on the MVP list? I'm still trying to get the Lin taste out of my mouth.
