Who Would Buy That? Sixers Christmas Edition
"Because all sports have stupid merchandise, not just baseball."

DeMarcus Cousins: A Sixers Thought Experiment
"One year ago, I wrote this post advocating for the Sixers to gamble on DeMarcus Cousins even though it was highly likely that they wouldn't. Things got somewhat heated in the comments because of how polarizing Cousins' personality is. Now that DMC has gotten into a public argument with coach Keith Smart, the guy who was brought in to keep him happy, he's running out of rope. The Kings reinstated him not too long after suspending him "indefinitely", but what they'll do with him now is anybody's guess."

A Very Liberty Ballers Christmas
"Happy Christmas Liberty Ballers, and to all a good night."

Getting to the Line is on Doug Collins and Sixers, Not the Refs
"There's never one reason for something in the NBA. The Sixers don't lose because of one player or one play, just as they don't win in the same fashion. The same holds true, philosophically, for why the Sixers do not get to the free throw line enough. It's on the players, the coach, the system. But it most definitely is not on the referees."

Wright making case to start over Richardson - CSN Philly
"After earning a 99-89 win over the Grizzlies in Memphis, the Sixers hopped a flight to California for Friday’s game against Golden State. The trip likely gave head coach Doug Collins a couple more things to ponder about this unique Sixers roster."

Sixers head coach Doug Collins makes time for players to get family time -
"There may be only one thing in life more important than basketball to 76ers coach Doug Collins, and that is family. In fact, the two aren't even close, that's how much Collins cherishes his wife, two kids and five grandchildren. So when the holidays roll around, he doesn't try to stop his players from venturing to wherever they must go to be with their loved ones."

REMINDER - RULES OF THE THREAD: As long as you keep it clean (no cursing and please remember to bathe before threading) and avoid touchy subjects like religion/politics/etc, it's fair game. It's your thread - use it as you see fit.

Now, discuss! Happy Friday + Happy New Year!
