Carmelo Anthony, Spencer Hawes, and the Miracle of Photography

I now present to you your favorite picture ever.

Joe Camporeale-US PRESSWIRE

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Sometimes a picture is responsible for me pissing myself. This picture, thanks to Presswire's Joe Camporeale's blessed heart, and its impact on my life from now until forever can not be overstated. Though the Sixers lost to the Knicks in the first of a back-to-back, this shot of Carmelo Anthony and Spencer Hawes makes us all winners.

Regardless of your political or socio-economical beliefs, basketball is what binds us. In this case, I mean that literally. Hawes and Melo are hugging. Clinging to each other for warmth and comfort. They need each other. They're ostensibly enemies but fate has intervened and allowed Mr. Camporeale to stop time forever in what is now the most important picture of our generation.

I wish every picture was this picture. I want no other pictures from now on. Also imagining Ronnie Brewer's chin as a basketball has me chuckling.

This will also serve as your Sixers/Knicks game preview tonight, obviously. Mullets Forever.
