Mortal Enemies: Bullets Forever |
(6 point loss at home).John Wall is averaging 25.8 points per game on 43.2% from the field over his last 4 games, averaging 11.25 free throw attempts per game and 8.25 assists per game, probably the best stretch of his career to date.
Since the last time we played the Wizards forward Andray Blatche has returned to the lineup (which may be a positive for the Sixers), and Nick Young is averaging 21.6 points per game over his last 5 games.
The Sixers, meanwhile, will be without both Spencer Hawes (strained left Achilles) and Nikola Vucevic (quad strain). Elton Brand is also a game time decision with gastroenteritis, but I'm being told he will try to play. If not, you would see more of Tony Battie and Lavoy Allen than most (all?) Sixers fans would want.
Even with the injuries, this is a bad Wizards team, which hasn't been competitive in their 6 road games this season (0-6, losing by an average of over 18 points per game). I think the Sixers pull it out, but it'll be closer than many fans want to see.
Prediction: Sixers 97, Wizards 92.
