LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Lou Williams Playing at The Palestra

Kate Fagan of Deep Sixer had the scoop earlier this week:

While the NBA player's association and owners negotiate the next collective bargaining agreement, a star-studded basketball game has been arranged -- Team Melo vs. Team Philly -- for later this month at The Palestra on the UPENN campus.

The game is set for Sunday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. Tickets will be $35 for 200-level seats and $50 for 100-level seats. Tickets will be available online and at the Palestra box office starting Tuesday.

Players are set to include LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul (all on the same team?), Louis "THE BOSS" Williams, Hakim Warrick, Jason Thompson, the Morris twins and others.

This gives the NBA fans in Philadelphia a chance to watch live basketball involving NBA talent for the first time in five months. If nothing else, the game is guaranteed to provide a few highlight reels, much like all the other rec league and Rucker Park games this summer.

The best news?

The game will be broadcast on the web on The Basketball Channel.

I hope Lou-Will drops at least 68 on "Team Melo".
