There are a ton of ways for basketball fans to procrastinate on the internet. And when you're not Facebook stalking your ex-girlfriend, you're probably on NBA Trade Machine. It's time to put that to some use.

With the recent flutters about trading Andre Iguodala this offseason, the two names we've heard are Rudy Gay and Chris Kaman. Greg Oden has come up, and a Kings fan suggested Omri Casspi. Go to Trade Machine and find me the best Iguodala trade that's good for both sides. Be sure to go through the comments and "rec" the ones you like. The proposed trade with the most recs gets a cyber fist pound.

Consider a few things.

  1. Salary. Obviously Trade Machine does most of the work for you, but check out Hoopshype also to cross-check the length and distribution of contract money before you post your best one.
  2. Need. The Sixers need a big man. They don't need a point guard or a player that gives you basically the same as Iguodala only worse (Gay! Still an unfortunate name).
  3. Age. The Sixers are a young team. That's good. Bringing in veterans for the sake of being veterans is a technique generally frowned upon around these parts. Keep 'em young. And supple.
  4. You can include other Sixers in the trade if you so desire. Get buck wild.

Let's see what you come up with. Be civil to each other and don't forget to rec your favorites! If you don't know how to do that, here's a free lesson.
