Craig Brackins Recalled...Again

With the D-League playoff season upon us and Springfield failing to qualify, the Sixers have brought back Craig Brackins to hang out on the bench. In this stint with the Armor, Brackins played four games, averaging 21 points and 7 rebounds on 48% shooting. He only hit one three-pointer during that time, which is actually a good thing because that means he was getting most of his points closer to the basket.

If Doug Collins does decide to rest Elton Brand and even Spencer Hawes, Brackins and Marreese Speights could be in line for some actual playing time in the last few games. With the seeding looking gelatinously flexible, the Sixers have a good shot at drawing Miami in the first round. If that's the case, Brackins could be a candidate to match up with Chris Bosh for a few minutes at a time - certainly nothing world-changing, but if he can instill a bit of confidence in Collins, that would save Elton from having to cover another bigger guy.

Hopefully next season Craig will be able to stick in Philly for a bit longer.
