For the second time this season the Sixers attempted less shots at the rim than their opponent, and for the second time this season the Sixers lost because of it. The Sixers went 8-12 on shots at the basket while the Jazz attempted 23, although they only converted 12. Lou Williams, Elton Brand, Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young, Nikola Vucevic and Jodie Meeks combined for a whopping one shot attempt at the rim. The silver lining was the four attempts by Jrue Holiday.
The Jazz won three of the four factors (eFG%, TOR, ORR, FTR), which usually results in a win. However; outside of shot attempts at the rim, the two teams played a relatively equal game. Despite a higher field goal percentage for the Sixers, the Jazz were able to out-shoot the Sixers from beyond the arch and at the free throw line.
Andre Iguodala attempted a game-high six shots from 16-23 feet (the most inefficient shot in basketball) and only converted one. He also missed three of his five free throw attempts, including a pair late in the fourth quarter.
