76ers vs Raptors coverage

Who's trying to watch this game in T-Pain's condo all the way up in Toronto?

  • The Raptors are currently on an 8 game losing streak. Most of the loses were to playoff caliber teams except Washington and Detroit.
  • Andrea Bargnani has had himself a marvelous time against the Sixers in the previous two match-ups. Bargnani dropped 30 in Philadelphia and came back with 24 points the next game in Toronto. The Sixers don't really have a player who matches up well with Bargnani on the defensive end. Thaddeus Young did a decent job against him in Philly, so I wouldn't doubt to see Doug Collins give that a whirl again tonight.
  • Only 40% of the Raptors starting lineup from the last time these two teams met are expected to be in the starting lineup tonight, unless Jose Calderon comes back after missing Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with flu like symptoms. He is listed as questionable but is expected to play.
  • Tonight will be the Sixers first look against Raptors' rookie Ed Davis out of the University of North Carolina. I was pretty high on Ed Davis as a defensive minded big man before the draft. A few (most, if not all) of my cohorts did not share my sentiments. He spent some early days in the D-Leauge but is now up with the squad, and even managed to rack up five blocks against Memphis.
  • Will Spencer Hawes start? He only played four and a half minutes against Phoenix, all in the first half. Thad took his place in the second half and I could see him taking Hawes' starting spot tonight as well.
  • Toronto will be without Reg.....Reginald Evans! He's recovering from a foot injury suffered in early December. Also not playing tonight will be Linas Kleiza (knee) and Leandro Barbosa (hamstring). No Brazilian Blur chants tonight guys.
  • Sadly, no Peja heads as he's now in charge of style JJ Barea's hair before every game in Dallas :(
  • The Sixers look to extend their winning streak to an astounding 3!

Pop 2 quarters in Poptart, and let's get it on.

GameThread it up blokes. Happy Australia Day! Go SIXERS!!!
