76ers vs Lakers coverage

  • Happy New Year to everybody who celebrates calendars! I'm setting the over/under at 15 comments in the game thread. I won't be around so the recap won't be coming until much later tomorrow when I get a chance to watch the game on DVR. Don't burn down the place in the meantime.
  • As we told you earlier, Andre Iguodala will be missing the next five games while Doug Collins lets his tendinitis heal. This means more minutes for Evan Turner, more responsibility for Jrue Holiday, and more time at the three for Thaddeus Young. I wonder if, soon after this road trip is over, a trade will be made to shake things up.
  • Kobe Bryant. ET should get a good chunk of time defending him, and that'll be cool to watch. The Lakers bigs against ours will be entirely too one-sided, unless Spencer Hawes rocks the super-secret haircut again.
  • If you're watching this game on the East Coast, the game will start in 2010 and end in 2011. Gotta be a record.
  • Our boys at SS&R apparently don't want to play us because we're not exciting enough. WHAT ABOUT THIS?!

Happy 2011! Let's make it an even more awesome year.
