Playing good defense and rebounding well won't earn Turner much praise when he's struggling mightily in every other area. He was the number two pick and supposed to be more NBA-ready than 19 and 20 year-old projects. He has a history of slow starts, but it's still concerning, and frustrating for Sixers fans.
Turner ranks 22 of 27 qualified rookies in PER with an abysmal 8.40. He has to become more aggressive on offense, especially since he now comes off the bench.
