SBNation continues to amaze me. First the Yahoo! agreement, now this. The brilliant tech team here at the nation, led by Trei, have been working tirelessly to improve the site's platform. Earlier today the new features were officially released, and they're magical. It's going to take some time for us to get acquainted, but here's a quick rundown of the new stuff.
Pictures - SBNation now has access to AP and Getty images. I'm super stoked about this, because I have access to a ton of pictures, and I can crop/place them wherever I like. They also come with built-in captions! Liberty Ballers just got "sexy". Also, don't let me have all the fun. You, the reader, can browse all the images. I feel like we've officially arrived.
Team Pages - Now when you click on any team's name, it takes you to their SBNation team page. The Sixers page include stuff like, schedule, roster, stats, injuries, a link to all of my posts, and any other posts done on the Sixers across the 193 SBNation blogs. Check it out -- 76ers team page.
Player Pages - These are very similar to the team pages. Here's Andre Iguodala's page. It includes, stats, honors and awards, past injuries, and posts about him.
Event Pages - Everything you need to know about a certain game. Posts from both team's blogs, box scores, stats, scores, everything. SBNation is basically becoming the ESPN of the blogosphere -- except a lot better. Skip Bayless couldn't cut it here :)
I strongly encourage you to check all the new features out. We're all learning, and it's going to get some time to get used to, but I think this is a big step for "the nation". Now you don't need to go to Yahoo! or ESPN for all your sports needs. It's all right here at SBN.
