The last time the Sixers played the Rockets, they walked out with a win. It was the win that got them to 14-20 and basically changed their season. Since then they've gone 7-2 and hope to make it 8-2 tonight.
The Sixers last meeting with the Rockets was in Philadelphia however. Tonight they will be in Houston, making it a another tough road game against a very good team. Mr. Shane Battier will also be in action for tonight's game. We missed him and his wrinkly head last game. He's not a big name, but he's one heck of a defender and oh yeah, he can hit threes consistently--bad news for the Sixers.
Yao's been nursing a bum knee, but hopes to return tonight. Hearing that gave me mixed feelings. "Alright, great, we get to see what the Sixers can really do against a completely healthy Western Conference contender," but the words, "Uh oh, we're going to get destroyed tonight," also ran through my head. Then I hit up the local SBNation Rockets blog, only to find out that Ron Artest will be held out tonight, and possibly until the all-star break.
Talk about bad luck. The Rockets just cannot stay healthy. Regardless of who plays or doesn't play, it will be a good test. It's the Sixers last road game before an seven game home stretch.
For the first time in a long time, I'm predicting a Sixers loss (even though I picked them in my pick 'em). It's just a gut feeling after watching the Hornets game. Let's hope I'm wrong.
8:30 p.m eastern. Be here.
Go Sixers!
