Disclaimer: My observations are based solely on the box score and highlights. I feel like I've been through this a thousand times, but I'm in Connecticut, on vacation, and it's causing me to miss the Celtics game and the Nuggets game. My recaps for those two games will be non-existent since I cannot provide adequate analysis without watching the games. I strongly encourage anyone who watches the game to do their own recap in the FanPosts, not just for me, but for the rest of the readers. Thanks.

Check out Pickaxe and Roll for Nuggets.

Normally Sixers vs. Nuggets would be a game I marked on my calendar because of the Sixers/Iverson reunion, but since Iverson now makes his home in Detroit, this is just another tough road game against a good Western Conference team.

The Sixers received a good old fashion beat down from the Celtics last night. I wasn't able to watch the game, just like I won't be able to watch this one, but from the looks of it, I didn't miss much. I just watched the highlights from the game and the Sixers were hanging in there with the champs for the first 20 minutes of the game, and then Boston made their run and never looked back. As a Sixers fan, you can't get too down on yourselves though. The champs looked focused and wanted to send a message to the Lakers before their Christmas day showdown.

Here's the boxscore. Lou-Will and Mo Speights continue to play well, which is awesome. Willie Green was replaced in the starting lineup by Kareem Rush, but don't get too excited; I'm pretty sure it's because Willie has a sprained ankle.

The Sixers are just beginning their treacherous road trip and now sit at 12-16. I expect that to be 12-17 after this game, because the Nuggets are a much better team and we'll probably be without two starters (Yes, Willie Green counts as a starter). Again, I won't be able to watch it. If anyone watches it and will be kind enough to write a recap in the FanPosts, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I'm posting this game thread two days early because A) there are no games today and B) we're all going to be busy with Christmas Eve and Christmas the next two days, I don't know when I'll get another chance to post this.

Have a Merry Christmas everybody and don't worry about the Sixers. Change is coming. Later.
