Warriors at Sixers open thread 11/23/08

Sunday games are always odd. They are at odd times. It feels weird going from football to basketball. They're just weird. Go Cowboys, by the way.

Anyway, today the Sixers will try to get over the .500 mark for the first time all season. It should be a very enjoyable game. They host the Warriors, which for whatever reason is the team in which, if someone was holding a gun to my head, whispering in my ear, "Jordan, you have to pick all new favorite sports teams, or I will put a bullet through your skull," my first reaction would be, "Bullet." If that wasn't an option, I'd choose the Warriors. Don't ask me why. Us Vegas people live strange lives, but they'd be my choice.

It will be a fun game to watch. Home games are always fun and the fastbreakin' should be out of this world. We all know the Sixers are at their best when they're running and run they shall against another running team in the Warriors.

No one is completely sure if their newest addition, Jamal Crawford will be in the starting lineup, so the Sixers might catch a break there.

Check out Golden State of Mind for Warriors reaction. GSOM is one of my favorite blogs on SBN, so I strongly encourage you to check it out.

After losing the the lowly T'Wolves and barely escaping the just as lowly Clippers at home, I'm not sure what to expect from the Sixers. I'm done worrying about everything, but wins and losses now. If the score ends up being 31-30.5 and Andre Iguodala is 6-57 from the field, but the Sixers win, I'll be happy. Give me a W baby, got to win these home games.

TV: Comcast SportsNet

Record: 6-6

Prediction: 115-112 Sixers
