October 22nd. There's an unusual buzz in the Sams' household tonight and no, it has nothing to do with the World Series starting. Even though I probably won't be watching, I wish all you guys luck and hope the Phils bring it home. Anyway back to my excitement. Tonight is the Sixers' last pre-season game of the season! Exactly one week from tonight, we'll begin the regular season and I couldn't be more excited.
It's been a long, grueling pre-season and I've only been able to one half of one game. Tonight should be no different. Unless someone steps up and hooks me up with a link to the video (please), I'll be listening to the Sixers' radio broadcast.
As of right now (I'm writing this at 11 because I have a mid-term today that will run until tip-off), Sammy D looks like he'll miss his third straight with a bad knee. Apparently it's strictly precautionary and I'm fine with that, especially since we get to see more of my boy M16.
Last game and we haven't even mentioned the opponent, the New Jersey Nets. Let's at least get a win to finish above .500 and end this pre-season right. Now, I'm off to study and I don't know if you've heard but...
Go Sixers! (And Phillies!)
