The Sixers are now 1-0 in the pre-season (not that it matters) after beating the Celtics on Wednesday night. Now it's time for game 2 against the New York Knickerbockers. Lou-Will played like a man against Boston, dropping 27 points on 12 shots, and despite what I saw in the Summer League, Thaddeus looked to be much improved. My boy, Mo Speights looked a little lost at times, but still had a very solid debut. And our prized off-season possession looked a little rusty on both ends of the court.
Now to the Knicks game. This one's not on TV (that I know of), but here's the audio. I'll be at work until 5:30 or so, so I'll miss the first half, but feel free to post your thoughts in the comments. I'll jump in when I get home. It'll be interesting to see if Lou and Thad can build on their impressive performances. Another thing to keep an eye on is the rotation. Kareem Rush was inactive for the first game, but we still saw a lot of Willie Green. That is not a good thing. Anyway, go Sixers!
I know this is the first open thread and it's just a pre-season game, but an open thread is where you just post your thoughts or random observations while watching or listening to the game. I'll be at work, but do your thing.
This is an open thread.
