The 76ers were able to hang on and win a nail-biter against the Portland Trailblazers 101-100 The 76ers officially announced during half time that Andrew Bynum would have season ending arthroscopic surgery on both of his knees.
The 76ers, who were up 6 to start the 4th quarter, held on to defeat the Blazers. During the game, the Sixers announced that Andrew Bynum would miss the remainder of the season with surgery on both knees.
And an entire nation... nods like they knew this was coming.
Despite the 76ers and Celtics both missing star players, the teams are headed in very different directions. The Celtics are 11-4 since Rajon Rondo went down for the season and in firm grasp of a playoff spot.
He'll end up missing the whole season because he doesn't want to play in pain. And I'm having a hard time blaming him.
