Drool. I just thought of a comparison I haven't heard anyone make yet - Paul Pierce. Both played 3 years at fairly big colleges. Both lack explosive athleticism. Both have "old man" games. Both overcame ridiculous injures (Pierce was stabbed, Turner broke his back).
Pierce's sophomore and junior years at Kansas:
16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.8 blocks, 3 turnovers, 49-47-72 percentages.
20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.1 blocks, 2.9 turnovers, 51-34-74 percentages.
Turner's sophomore and junior years at Ohio State:
17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.8 steals, 0.8 blocks, 3.5 turnovers, 50-44-79 percentages.
20 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.9 blocks, 4.4 turnovers, 52-36-76 percentages.
The only major differences are the turnovers and assists. Although Turner had 4.4 turnovers his senior year, he still had a better assist/turnover ratio.
The Villain's jumper is also smoother looking than I remember.
