This seems incredibly misguided to me. Basically, his argument is that, because the Sixers have made bad top ten draft selections in the past, there's no reason to tank in an effort for a higher draft pick. He even says that there is no obvious candidate for the #1 selection (since pundits have declared it so) and therefore even lesser motivation to obtain the highest pick. However, if I recall correctly, as recently as two years ago, there was no standout in the class, but the Cavaliers took Kyrie Irving anyway and that has worked out pretty well for them.
In good times and bad, I want to engage with Sixers fans. I'll be on Mike Missanelli's show on 97.5 The Fanatic Monday at 4pm @MikeMiss975
