A lot of the trade rumors I've seen floating around on this site in an attempt to get both Simmons and Ingram don't make sense because the Sixers' main trade asset (Okafor) isn't a good fit with the Lakers next to Julius Randle. Okafor is a good fit got the Celtics though, who have shown interest in Okafor in the past. The Lakers want a star, and have been rumored to have interest in packaging their 2nd overall pick to acquire Paul George from Indiana. Who says no to the below:
Lakers:
Give #2 pick, sign and trade Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle
Get Paul George, #24 pick
Sixers:
Give Jahlil Okafor, #24 pick, #26 pick, Lakers 2017 pick
Get #2 pick
Celtics:
Give #3 pick, #16 pick
Get Jahlil Okafor
Pacers:
Give Paul George
Get #3 pick, #16 pick, #26 pick, Lakers 2017 pick, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle
May need some tweaking, but is there a potential trade with these 4 teams? I doubt the Pacers are looking to move Paul George, but a player of his caliber is probably necessary for the Lakers to give up #2.
