UPDATE (4:50 p.m.): The article previously stated that the Sixers will be giving away stuffed toy pandas. The Sixers have told Liberty Ballers that is not true.
Since the Philadelphia 76ers haven't been too hot at the playing basketball thing, they've been improving the entertainment aspect of home games in hopes of luring fans out of their homes.
Montell Jordan, Naughty By Nature, and Cupid are some of the prominent acts that performed during a Sixers game last season, but this year the team is bringing in an act that’s topping the charts right now.
Rapper Desiigner will be the halftime performance for the Sixers' home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 26, with R&B singer Sevyn Streeter singing the national anthem.
Desiigner rose to prominence in 2015 when he realized his hit song "Panda", which was number one on the charts in the U.S for two weeks. He was also featured on Kanye West’s album The Life Of Pablo.
Considering that Ben Simmons will be out of action for a while, and the team hasn’t looked great in the preseason, the team will have to do something to get butts in the seats.
This is a start.
