The Sixers must get the second worst record.

No, it's not about getting a better chance at the number one overall pick.

We have to get the second worst record because then the lowest possible pick we could have is #5 overall.

The Lakers pick is top 5 protected. Hypothetically, at the 2015 Liberty Ballers/Spike Eskin draft lottery party at Buffalo Wild Wings, we all could get to the moment of truth...see the Sixers at 6...go INSANE...but ultimately realize it's just our pick has fallen the maximum amount to the sixth slot because we only ended up with the third worst record overall. The third worst record could yield the sixth pick.

As silly as it was that people were confused about our 10th pick from the Pelicans, conveying last year in the 2014 lottery, ESPN didn't help at all by not putting "(from NO)" next to our name in the tenth slot. Dr. J was thrown for a loop, as were many others (myself included for a half millisecond, something that stems from stupidity and panic even though it would've been impossible for our second worst record to yield lower than the 5th pick). I assume ESPN, should the Sixers be revealed as picking 6th, will again not show anything to indicate whether it's "our" pick or the Lakers.

Consider the situation and how depressingly deflating it would be.

I'm operating under the best possible scenario outcome: the first and sixth pick. We need the second worst record.
