If Bennett was a 2014 draft pick

If Bennett was a 2014 draft pick, there is one player in particular that matches up well with him.

The numbers of each player, including their size, are almost identical.
The first player, Julius Randle, the 7th pick in the 2014 draft.

Now some discrepancies. Bennett plays both the 3 and the 4, while Randle is more strictly a 4. Randle was also more highly touted coming out of High School, a projected top 3 in a stacked draft class, and he played at Kentucky, a SEC school known for its prospects and success. Bennett was projected as a mid lottery pick in a weak class, and played at the much "easier" level of competition with UNLV.

Still, its hard to turn down that both players shot the ball, and scored the ball with relative similarities. Both player are also known for their quick feet, agility, and the ability to use their bodies.

Thats why I believe that if Bennett had come out this year, he would have been a 5-13 pick.

What we know is that Bennett was not healthy for most of the 2014 season, and was statistically one of the worst NBA picks of all time. That being said, on a team thats main goal is to develop talent, Bennett will have more of a chance to play and to grow, and is apparently healthy.

Since the deal is apparently all but done, Im looking forward to seeing Julius Randle Anthony Bennett play for the Sixers.
